Wednesday 6th - BBQ Tong Forging with Sven Liebetrau
In this course you will forge a barbecue fork based on a historical model. In terms of appearance and practicality, this barbecue tool hasn't lost any of its relevance over the centuries—quite the opposite! Whether on the kitchen stove, at the charcoal grill, or at the campfire—this fork will accompany you through all situations and, thanks to its longevity, will also delight future generations. The course covers forging, splitting, stretching, and twisting the metal. In the end, the tips of the barbecue fork will be filed.
Material costs: 20€ to be paid directly to Sven at the Festival.
Skill Level/Prerequisite’s: Open to All Levels!
Minimum age: 12 year’s old
Workshops start after our morning circle around 9:30 am and end around 5 or 6 pm.
Sven's courses are in German with a little bit of English.
If language is a barrier we are confident you will learn even if you don’t speak or understand German. So much of the learning depends on seeing, feeling, and hearing the sounds as well.
